The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures: he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

The 7 Sacraments

Sacraments of Initiation
1. Baptisim-Our sins are washed away, and this is the beginning of our membership in the life of the church.

2. Confirmation-We are sealed with the Holy Spirit.

3. Eucharist-We celebrate the Lord’s Supper and remember God’s love through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.

Sacraments of Christian Vocation
4. Marriage
5. Holy Orders
These Sacraments of Christian Vocation are sacraments where God has called each of us to a particular state of life.

Sacraments of Healing
6. Reconciliation-Also known as confession or penance, through reconciliation God forgives us for our sins.

7. Anointing of the sick-Christ heals us and raises us up from our infirmities.

The 8 Beatitudes

The beatitudes are found at Matthew 5: 3-12
1. Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
2. Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land.
3. Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted.
4. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
5. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
6. Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God.
7. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
8. Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Prayer to St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon, Where there is doubt, faith, Where there is despair, hope, Where there is darkness, light, and where there is sadness joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; To be understood, as to understand: To be loved, as to love; For it is in giving that we receive - it is in pardoning that we are pardoned: And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Prayer to St. Raphael

Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the "medicine of God," I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favor (name your request) and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

pretty pretty prego

lol, I crack myself up.....I sure don't feel pretty, but I know that I am feeling pretty prego!!!!!
This is a picture from Sunday's walk along the beach, I found 4 intact sand dollars! This is also the same beach Joe proposed to me on 6 years ago!

PRAYER LIST

To keep the aviator safe from harms way while he is deployed, and to bring him home healthy in mind, body and spirit.

To keep the aviator's mind sharp while he flys.

To help the aviator find comfort through prayer as he deals with the stress of being away from his family and home, and as he deals with new daily stresses of deployment.

To keep mommy and the boys safe while daddy is away.

To keep the watch dog healthy so he can protect us if needed, :)

To keep mommy on the road to a full recovery after birth.

And to keep us all true to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Old Glory Poem

I am the flag of the United States of America. My name is Old Glory. I fly atop the world's tallest buildings. I stand watch in America's halls of justice. I fly majestically over institutions of learning. I stand guard with power in the world. Look up and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice. I stand for freedom. I am confident. I am arrogant. I am proud. When I am flown with my fellow banners, my head is a little higher, my colors a little truer.
